Julie has been in the animal industry for a very long time. She graduated from Fairview College as a Veterinary Technologist in 2000 and went on to practice in small animal medicine in several Southern Alberta towns and cities. This path lead her to pursue a job in 24-hour emergency care and worked there for about three years. Julie decided that she wanted to try her hand at being an entrepreneur so she set up her own pet store and grooming business in Priddis. Although very successful she felt something was missing so she went back into animal husbandry at the Cochrane and Area Humane Society. What she was really missing was being in the veterinary industry so after reinstating her RVT licence she worked in Cochrane at a vet clinic for 2 years and then joined Cornerstone Square in 2021

Julie is excited to be a part of Cornerstone Square as she loves the unique culture within the team and enjoys the critical care and behavioural aspects of veterinary medicine. She enjoys utilizing all her skills and keeping up to date on everything the veterinary industry has to offer. In her spare time, Julie likes to be surrounded by her fur family, including her 4 cats and 3 adorable chihuahuas.
