Chelsey was born in Saskatchewan and raised in the Calgary area. She pursued a degree in Zoology and a Master’s in Evolutionary Biology prior to getting her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Calgary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (UCVM) in 2021.
Chelsey spent her first 5 years in practice at a mixed animal clinic outside of Medicine Hat. She has special interests in dentistry and soft tissue surgery, and a passion for spectrum of care medicine. In addition to her time in-clinic, she enjoys spending time helping with Community Care initiatives such as UCVM’s Northern Community Health Rotation.
Chelsey and her spouse Ian share their home with 3 fancy cats and a lot of house plants. In her spare time, you can find her doing pottery, fiber arts, gardening, hiking, and camping.
